Ringworm and Children Health
It is the result of a
worm, but gets its name due to the ring-shaped rash that causes. Ringworm is a
contagious infection that is spread by skin to skin contact and spreads in
school-age children through contact with their peers. If your child has ringworm,
the infection can be treated at home. Most infections are cleared within two to
four weeks with consistent treatment. If you are unsure whether your child has
ringworm, contact your pediatrician or dermatologist before treating the
infection.
